Unicollege is a degree-granting undergraduate and graduate accredited university. Its academic programs operate within the Italian Higher Education System and comply with national regulations governing degree structure, academic workload, assessment, and quality assurance. Institutional accreditation is granted by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR), the national higher education authority.

02 International Accreditation and U.S. Recognition

International Accreditation and U.S. Recognition

Unicollege is a university that issues its own official academic transcripts and degree documentation directly. Coursework, credit values, and grading are documented through the institutional transcript and are designed to be directly recognizable and equivalent for U.S. partner institutions, supporting straightforward credit transfer.

For U.S. partner institutions that, in specific cases, require a domestic U.S. transcript for administrative or financial-aid processes, Unicollege additionally operates through Westcliff University as School of Record. Westcliff is a WASC-accredited U.S. institution and serves this complementary function only when a U.S. transcript is explicitly requested by the home institution. In all other cases, the official Unicollege transcript is sufficient and primary. This further accreditation pathway clarifies and reinforces alignment with U.S. higher education recognition processes.

Academic Recognition and Degree Frameworks

Unicollege degree programs are structured in accordance with internationally recognized qualification standards and are comparable to degree levels used in U.S. higher education. Unicollege awards:

• Bachelor’s Degrees — comparable to a U.S. Bachelor’s degree
• Master’s Degrees — comparable to a U.S. Master’s degree
• Doctoral Degrees — comparable to a U.S. doctoral degree (PhD or professional doctorate)

Academic workload is measured in Italian/European credits, which are directly intelligible to and equivalent for U.S. partner institutions. Credit values, contact hours, and grading are presented with clear conversions to U.S. semester credits, allowing partner institutions to evaluate coursework and degree levels within familiar academic standards.
